Duties and Responsibilities:

An EMCO Customer Support Representative is expected to:

– Represent the Profit Centre in a professional manner
– Endorse and sustain our Core Values and Ethics with every interaction
– Establish a long-lasting and devoted consumer base
– Take initiative and be persuasive by using excellent communication skills
– Be a valuable and essential part of the team at our Profit Centre
– Process sales orders in person and over the phone
– Meet or exceed the Profit Centre’s gross profit and sales targets
– Interface with and assist customers who come into the Profit Centre
– Investigate and rectify customer concerns, such as pricing deductions and product returns
– Expedite customer material with vendors when required
– Follow-up with customers on quotes and outstanding orders
– Assist in shipping or warehouse requirements as needed
– Perform any other reasonable duties requested by the Profit Centre Manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

– Outstanding customer service and telephone skills
– High level of detail orientation and organizational abilities; must be able to multitask and balance many different deadlines
– Strong written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
– Identify customer requirements and provide sound solutions
– Able to learn and operate the applicable software systems (M3, Eclipse) used to process orders
– Intermediate math skills – add, subtract, multiply, divide; using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
– Willing to invest a minimum of 40 hours in training, annually
– Forklift certification an asset, but can be acquired on the job
– Comprehensive plumbing and heating product application knowledge an asset
